Organizations with a focus on Global Child Health Education
There are several pediatric societies with work groups, subcommittees, and task forces focused on global child health.
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Section on International Child Health (SOICH) promotes and leads efforts to help children throughout the world gain optimal physical, mental and social health and well-being. SOICH prepares and empowers its members to make meaningful contributions to global child health through high quality education and training, effective partnerships and collaborations, and staunch advocacy for the world’s children. Their website hosts a global health curriculum toolkit.
Academic Pediatric Association (APA) Global Health Task Force launched in October 2010 to provide a forum for communication and collaboration for diverse pediatric academic societies and groups to advance global child health.
Consortium of Universities for Global Health has compiled a number of excellent resources for global health students and educators, including clinical case studies, a compilation of online global health resources, and training modules.
